The base for the entire operation is the 200-acre farm and training
center just north of Ocala. It's a full service facility complete with irrigated
racetrack and swimming area for the horses. Leprechaun offers their clients breaking
and training, sales preparation and presentation, lay up and rehabilitation, as
well as broodmare foaling and boarding.
There is stall space for 73 horses and large paddocks for the mares and their
babies, as well as turnout paddocks for horses in training and rehab. All the
youngsters are line-driven before being ridden and then ridden in figure-eighths
out in the fields before going to the training track. A full-time staff of as
many as 20 is on hand to keep the ground, buildings and, most importantly, the
horses at their best.
