Re: Fasig-Tipton July Select Sale

The summer sale season kicked off with a fair market at the Fasig Tipton Select Summer Yearling Sale. Top physical yearlings were in high demand as most buyers are looking for the same type of horse.

Each year we identify, or “short list”, a large group of good physical horses that we believe will be well received at the Two-Year-Old Sales next year. The horses we purchase throughout the yearling season are evaluated during their training in the fall and “targeted” to the Two-Year-Old Sale we feel will give that individual the best chance at being sold for a profit.

The two year old market continues to demand a good physical-fast horse. Not that this hasn’t been the case, but every year the buyer’s become more selective. We have to be more selective in our buying as well. We continue to be selective during our short-listing process and are very pleased with our final purchases.
